Training

The Kindergarten IT Program offers training that is focused on ICT needs of community kindergartens as well as on-boarding for some of the early learning platforms provided by the Victorian Department of Education and Training.

This term we will be offering free 2 hours Online TLDS introduction webinars. Check back on Wednesday the 23rd of July for session timetable and booking links.

Who can attend?

Teachers, staff and volunteers from community kindergartens throughout Victoria can attend our training. If you are unsure contact us to confirm your kindergarten is registered with the program. Our Online TLDS Training – 901 webinars are also available Victorian long day care services.

When and where is it on?

Delivered this term, online via Zoom, from Monday 18th of August to Thursday 28th of August. Some additional sessions will be offered in September.

How to apply

Click on the ‘Enrol Now’ link next to the course you would like to attend and complete the online form. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to the webinar.

Waiting list

We try to spread the sessions across the working week, but sessions can book out quickly. If a session is showing as Booked Out or none of the times offered are suitable, you can request to be placed on our waiting list.

About the courses

• Use a keyboard to enter text
• Interpret user manuals and help functions
• Read and write basic workplace documents
• Internet connection
• PC, Mac or tablet with audio (camera/mic optional)

Online TLDS Training – 901 webinar

Overview This training session will provide an introduction to using the Online TLDS platform for new users. During the session you will learn how to create a TLDS for each child and will be shown how to use the platform to assist families to participate, progress the documents to submission and download completed copies of statements for hardcopy and storage.

Please note: The training does not provide guidance for educators on completing the transition statement content itself, only the functionality of the online platform.

Duration 2 hours.

Who is the course for?

This course is for IT beginners who have basic IT skills and teachers who have not used the Online TLDS previously. For other users, training is available through the use of online tips, user guides and the KITP helpdesk.

About the Online TLDS platform

The online Transition Learning and Developement Statement (TLDS), accessed through the Insight assessment platform, makes it easier for early childhood teachers to complete and share the TLDS with schools to support effective transitions.
