The Kindergarten IT Program offers training that is focused on ICT needs of community kindergartens as well as on-boarding for some of the early learning platforms provided by the Victorian Department of Education and Training.

Teachers, staff and volunteers from community kindergartens throughout Victoria can attend our training. If you are unsure contact us to confirm your kindergarten is registered with the program.

Waiting list

We try to spread the sessions across the working week, but sessions can book out quickly. If a session is showing as Booked Out or none of the times offered are suitable, you can request to be placed on our waiting list.

Digital Safety – Email

Overview: This one-hour webinar will show you how to identify and deal with dangerous email. How to spot phishing email, how to deal with dangerous attachments. We will look at what happens when an email account is hacked and what to do about it. Duration: 1 hour.

Digital Safety – Password Managers

Overview: This one-hour webinar will explain modern password management methods for you and your teams. Password security hygiene is explained as well as passphrases, special characters and multifactor authentication.
We will discuss modern tools to help your team keep secure like password managers and authentication apps and how to use these tools to regain order over password management.

Duration: 1 hour.

Who is the course for? This course is for teachers, staff and committee members who are working with multiple password protected services, have shared accounts with other team members and need to ensure easy, and efficient password management.

Drop-in Session

Overview: These are informal drop-in web meetings that you can drop in and out of as you need. Perhaps you have a technology related question, or have attended one of our other topics and would like to get some clarifications. Perhaps you have questions regarding hardware we support or software such as Windows or Microsoft Office. We will attempt to answer during the session. If we can’t solve it there and then, we will put it to our team and circle back to you with more information.

Duration: 1 hour.

Who is the course for? The drop-in sessions are for teachers, lead-teachers, administration staff, committee volunteers and directors who make use of the Kindergarten IT Program services.
